Symptom
Some customers may report that they see an iTunes error message stating “Attempting to copy to the disk “Customer’s iPod” failed. An unknown error occurred (-48)” as shown below.
Products affected
- iTunes 7.0.x for Mac
- Fifth Generation iPod
- Fifth Generation iPod (Late 2006)
- iPod nano (Second Generation)
Solution
- Use the latest version of iTunes to restore your iPod with the latest version of iPod Software. If the error message reappears after syncing your iPod 5 times, proceed to step 2.
- Temporarily change the Time
